On the afternoon of November 15, Mr. Niu Gensheng, founder of Inner Mongolia Lao Niu Foundation, was awarded "Honorary Board Member of Beijing Normal University" in Hong Kong. Cheng Jianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Normal University, heads of the university Party Committee/President's Office, alumni Association, Education Foundation, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office and other relevant departments attended the ceremony. Mr. Niu Gensheng, founder of Inner Mongolia Lao Niu Foundation, Mr. Lei Yongsheng, Chairman of Lao Niu Brother and Sister Charity Foundation, Mr. Niu Ben, Secretary General Ms. Chen Xiaopeng, and Ms. Yang Pinyan, head of Yuqing Family Office， also present at the ceremony.

Cheng Jianping thanked Mr. Niu Gensheng for his long-term care and help to Beijing Normal University, especially for his strong support in the development of children's education and the philanthropy innovation research. He said that Mr. Niu Gensheng has always paid attention to cultural education, and the completion of the Children's Exploration Museum has created a new model of early childhood education in China, providing references for basic education reform. In addition, the China Philanthropy Research Institute, the first philanthropy research institute in China, has promoted the construction and development of China's modern philanthropy system. We hope that Mr. Niu Gensheng can put forward valuable suggestions for the construction and development of the school, and comprehensively serve the construction of a powerful education country with the high-quality development of the school.

Mr. Niu Gensheng said that all his family members have devoted themselves to public welfare and charity, and carried out a series of projects such as "Lao Niu Children Discovery Museum" and "Lao Niu Teachers' capacity Building", which have directly benefited more than one million people, hoping to contribute to the development of the country's education cause. Beijing Normal University is the vanguard of normal colleges and an important base for training high-quality and innovative talents in the country. We are very glad to be appointed as honorary director of the University. Subsequently, Cheng Jianping awarded Mr. Niu Gensheng the certificate of "Honorary President of Beijing Normal University".

Inner Mongolia Lao Niu Foundation was established by Mr. Niu Gensheng, founder, former chairman and president of Mengniu Dairy Group, and his family at the end of 2004, committed to exploring a "Chinese-style modern charitable family foundation" development road. By the end of 2022, total public welfare expenditures had reached 1.649 billion yuan, directly benefiting 6.52 million people.
